Event Overview

The Annual Kurten Fireworks Show & Fundraiser is a July 4 community event hosted by Savage Outdoor & Defense at the Kurten Community Center.

Guests are invited to arrive early for the gun raffle, food park, yard games, face painting, vendors, and to stay for the fireworks show.

All event proceeds benefit local charities.

  • Gates open at 5:00 PM.
  • Gun raffle begins at 8:30 PM.
  • Fireworks show begins at approximately 9:15 PM.
  • Location: Kurten Community Center, 13055 E State Hwy 21, Kurten, TX 77862.

Event Rules

  • Be kind, friendly, and considerate. This is a family-friendly community event.
  • No glass containers on the event grounds.
  • No personal fireworks.
  • No trailers on event grounds.
  • No BBQ pits, grills, or other cooking devices on event grounds.
  • Clean up your area and dispose of trash.
  • No fires, burn pits, burn barrels, or open flames.
  • Do not arrive earlier than 4:30 PM; gates open at 5:00 PM.
  • No fighting or violence.
  • Watch your language this is a family friendly event.

The event is free to the public. Donations are appreciated to help cover operating costs and support charities.

Donations can be made on-site by cash or check, or in advance through Venmo @SavageOD with the caption "4th".

Multiple parking areas are available, including handicap and sponsor parking. Use the parking map to find the best lot and exit route.

Is handicap parking available?+

Yes. Handicap parking is limited and first come, first served.

Can attendees bring personal fireworks?+

No. Personal fireworks are not allowed.

Can attendees bring alcohol?+

Alcohol is allowed, but attendees are responsible for a safe and sober ride home. Glass containers are not allowed.

Can attendees bring food or coolers?+

Yes. Outside food and coolers are allowed, but propane or charcoal grills are not. Attendees are asked to clean up after themselves.

Are restrooms available?+

Yes. Portapotties and hand-washing stations are available throughout the event grounds.

Are dogs allowed?+

Dogs are allowed on leash, though bringing them is not recommended because fireworks can be loud and stressful.

Is there an age limit?+

No. The event is family friendly and community oriented, with kids activities on the event grounds.

Gun Raffle Notes

  • Ticket price: $20 each.
  • Tickets can be purchased with cash or Venmo at the community center on event day, or in advance through Venmo @SavageOD.
  • Venmo caption format: "4th gun raffle - First & Last Name - Phone #".
  • Raffle time: Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 8:30 PM.
  • Entrants must be 18 or older and able to pass a background check.
  • Pickup is at Burdett & Son Outdoor Adventure Shop, with items required to be picked up within 30 days.
  • Winners do not have to be present. Non-present winners are contacted within one week.
  • Each winner receives one free 2-hour range session for one shooter at Savage Outdoor & Defense.
  • Winners can apply the firearm value to another firearm at pickup.
